DAY 1 – MOMBASA / TSAVO EAST

This is a safari that takes you to discover the treasures of Tsavo National Park by visiting both East and West parts of the vast park. You will meet the Red elephants of the East among others and then discover the volcanic effects of the West.

Early morning pick up from your Beach hotel and drive to the direction of Tsavo East. Entrance to the park at the Bachuma gate at around 0900hrs and proceed on the morning game drive in the park. Visit Aruba Dam where most of the animals converge to quench their morning thirst. Proceed with the morning game drive until lunch time when you will be taken to alodge within the park for your delicious lunch in a restaurant that overlooks a water hole and breathtaking plains of Tsavo East spotted with wild animals. Animals to be viewed here are among others lions, leopards, cheetahs, red elephants, buffaloes, zebras, giraffes, antelopes, hyenas, baboons etc. As for the birdlife likely to view Red necked- spur fowl, croaking cisticola, Zanzibar red bishop, eagles, hawks, secretary birds among others.

After lunch leave Tsavo East with game drive en route heading to Tsavo West National Park. Arrive at the gate in the afternoon and proceed to the Rhino sanctuary with game en route. At the sanctuary there is a probability of seeing the eastern Black Rhinoceros.  After the visit to the sanctuary proceed with game en route to the lodge in the park for the evening. Check in the lodge, followed by a sumptuous dinner then overnight at the lodge. The lodge plays host to a leopard that comes every evening for meat hanged on a nearby tree at every dinner time.

DAY 2 – TSAVO WEST / MOMBASA

Early wake up for a morning game drive before breakfast that is very ideal to see most of the animals mainly the big cats on their way hunting. Return to the lodge for breakfast and then check out of the lodge for another game drive that takes you to the Mzima springs the natural underground water springs that remains as the source of fresh water to the City of Mombasa and its environs. Proceed to visit the volcanic lava called Shetani lava. Enjoy the breathtaking landscape and the savage terrain of Tsavo West surrounded with volcanic hills. Animals likely to be seen at the Tsavo West are the Eastern black rhinos and the rest that are found in Tsavo East. Birds to be seen are vultures, ostriches, secretary birds, ibis, and turacos among others. Proceed with game en route towards the main gate for the return to your beach hotel. Lunch at Voi before heading to the beach hotel at around 1700hrs.
