This safari is less tiresome as its name puts it. The long distance covered is well broken down in between to make sure comfort is reasonably attained.
DAY 1 – MOMBASA / TAITA HILLS WILDLIFE SANCTUARY
Morning pick up from your Beach Hotel and drive along the Mombasa / Nairobi highway to Taita Hills Wildlife Sanctuary. This conservancy covers an area of 2800 acres surrounded by clusters of hills called Taita Hills. It is an integral part of the Eastern Arc fresh classified as a biodiversity hotspot by mosaic habitat where the plant physiognomy is riverine forest, savanna wood and grass land. The sanctuary straddles the Southern Tsavo West National Park and is an important dispersal area and migrating corridor for wildlife between Tsavo East and West National Parks making it a highly valued tourism recreational area and of ecological importance.
Arrive at the sanctuary around noon and make a short game drive heading to Taita Hills lodge for a lovely lunch. After lunch proceed to Saltlick Safari lodge for check in with afternoon at leisure. Saltlick is elevated on stilts and built across two levels with ensuite bathrooms. This lodge has been one of Kenya’s flagship lodges famed for being among the world’s most photographed lodges. The water holes below provide even a wonderful opportunity to view animals at close proximity within the comfort and confines of the lodge. Enjoy the afternoon at leisure at the lodge exploring the scenic views and animals quenching their thirst at the water holes.
Depart for the afternoon game drive at 1600hrs and discover the flora and fauna of the sanctuary. The wildlife and birdlife in this sanctuary is amazing. Return to the lodge at 1800hrs.

DAY 2 – TAITA HILLS WILDLIFE SANCTUARY / AMBOSELI NATIONAL PARK
Early morning breakfast and check out the lodge. Depart for Amboseli with game drive en route to the exit.
Arrive at Amboseli in time lunch. Check in and lunch at the lodge. Afternoon at leisure at the lodge.
Depart for the afternoon game drive 1600hrs in Amboseli National Park. The park boasts the best view of the majestic Mount Kilimanjaro, the highest peak of Africa at 5895m. The Park that goes with the name “Salty dust” in Maasai language is the darling of visitors who mainly come to watch the large herds of elephants. The bull elephants have the largest tusks in all of Kenya. Enjoy the beautiful sunset at the background.
Return to the lodge for a sumptuous dinner and overnight.
DAY 3 – AMBOSELI / VOYAGER ZIWANI
Early breakfast and check out of the lodge. Short morning game drive before exiting Amboseli for Voyager Ziwani.
Arrive at Voyager Ziwani at lunch time. Check in and lunch at the Ziwani tented camp. Afternoon at leisure.
Voyager Ziwani is a game rich private sanctuary located on the western edge of Tsavo. This sanctuary offers a tranquil retreat in one of the wildest places left on Earth with a spectacular view of the mystical Mount Kilimanjaro. The camp sits on a secluded dam on the Sante River – home to turtles, crocodiles, and hundreds of basking hippos. The sanctuary offers an exceptional afternoon game walks and night game drives.
Afternoon program here at the sanctuary is a guided game walk with an armed ranger. The ranger will take you around the safe areas of the sanctuary where you will learn a lot about traditional medical herbs and also come close to herds of hippos and crocodiles in their pool.
Return to the camp at around 1730hrs and prepare for a night game drive at 1900hrs before the dinner.
With the aid of very strong spotlights fitted on your safari buses, the night game drives begin in earnest in the darkness of the sanctuary. The glittering eyes of the animals due to the direct lights from the spotlights are the indicators of the presence of animals. It’s a spectacle in the jungle.
Return to the camp at around 2000hrs for a lovely dinner and overnight.
DAY 4 – VOYAGER ZIWANI / NGUTUNI GAME SANCTUARY
Breakfast at 0800hrs and check out of the camp and drive towards Tsavo East to Ngutuni Game Sanctuary.
Ngutuni game sanctuary is a 10000 acre private game sanctuary surrounded on three sides by Tsavo East National Park. The sanctuary and surrounding national park are best known today for its fantastic variety of wildlife including lions, cheetahs, elephants, buffaloes as well as a huge variety of plains game and bird life.
Arrive at lunch time at the sanctuary and check in at the Ngutuni Safari Lodge.
This is a luxury Safari lodge overlooking a water hole and is set against the spectacular backdrop of the Sagala Hills. The lodge skillfully blends traditional African design with modern comforts of a luxury lodge.
After lunch you spend the afternoon relaxing and enjoying the breathtaking views of the savanna beyond and animals at the waterhole nearby.
Depart for the afternoon game drive at 1600hrs and discover the flora and fauna of the sanctuary.
Return to the lodge for dinner and overnight.
DAY 5 – Ngutuni Game Sanctuary / Mombasa
Early morning game drive in the sanctuary then return to the lodge for your sumptuous breakfast.
After breakfast check out of the lodge and drive along Mombasa / Nairobi highway on your way back to Mombasa.
